Ceremony of cancellation of stamps “History of Armenia: 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation” is held in City Hall
The ceremony of cancellation of the postcard with 4 stamps dedicated to the theme “History of Armenia: 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation” has been held in the City Hall today. The postcard was cancelled by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, the RA acting Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan, the Chairman of the board of CJSC “Haypost” Juan Pablo Gechidjyan and the President of the Union of Philatelists of Armenia Hovik Musaelyan.
The postcards with 4 stamps were printed in the French printing house “Cartor” in 15 000 samples. The author of the design is the designer of “Haypost” CJSC Vahe Muradyan. The nominal price of the postcard with 4 stamps is 1450 AMD. The city plan of Erebuni, Amiryan street in the 1920s and the buildings of the railway station of Yerevan and the national Academic heater of opera and ballet after A. Spendiaryan are depicted on the postcard. The postcard also contains the view of present-day night Yerevan on the background of Mount Ararat.
