Gayane ballet to be staged in Moscow Bolshoi Theatre
On July 24, with the support of Armenian Embassy in Russia and within the framework of events dedicated to Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary, 100th anniversary of the First Armenian Republic as well as 115th birthday of greatest Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, Gayane Ballet by Khachaturian will be staged in Moscow Bolshoi Theatre after about 60 years of break.
Producer of the event is Humanitarian and Cultural Adviser of the Armenian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Karen Khachatryan.
Colourful decorations will be used during the performance, while the costumes will features the motives of paintings by Armenian great painter Minas Avetisyan.
Last time Gayane ballet was staged in Moscow Bolshoi Theatre 57 years ago, in February, 1961.
